We’re Moving, Phase 1: The Warehouse Pt2

Penclic, Support Tech and Armazings. Shorty working on shipping the first items from the warehouse.

If you read our last post you would know that we are changing warehouses and moving our shipping operations down to Florida. This new warehouse is larger and more up to date to accommodate the increase in business and  orders that we have had over the last several months.

The moving trucks had arrived Sunday and the warehouse is now ready and operational. Sherry, Marc and Shorty all put in hard work and were able to get it up and running ahead of schedule.

Penclic and Evoluent products, organized and ready to be shipped.

This move was much needed as we have been in our old location since March of 1997. This location is a vast improvement over our old building, although with so much history in the old place it will be missed.

Our offices are currently still based in our old building until the end of the month, so stay tuned for Phase 2 of our move, when we change offices.

Just starting to get organized and get the first items in the building.

We’re Moving, Phase 1: Our Warehouse, Pt. 1

The moving truck getting loaded up

As many of you know Prestige International is moving it’s warehouse and main office to accommodate our growth, and the today is the day we start the first part of that move.

Today we started the process of shipping all of the products and supplies in our existing warehouse to move to our new warehouse in Florida. Right now our warehouse is a mess with boxes everywhere, but by the end of the day everything will be in the truck and off to its new home.

The new warehouse will be a modern building with more amenities that will  allow for a more streamline and effective shipping process. We are also bringing our office currently in the state into the same building to create one location in Florida.

Below are some more pictures of the move which we will update you on when they later this week and finish setting up the new warehouse next week.

Almost done getting everything out of this room, only the Support Techs left
Just got the ramp in place, time to start loading this truck up
The Evoluent products are ready to get moved.
Secure Cords, files and miscellaneous supplies
Bakker Elhuizen products are already in the truck, now for the ARMazings.

5 Things You Can Do to Relieve Back Pain, Without a Doctor’s Visit

As you go through life many people experience back pain and they chalk it up to getting older, or it being the natural way of things. This pain can go from bothersome to overwhelming, but many people do nothing about it, or think there is nothing they can do. We are here to tell you that there are some steps you can take to reduce or eliminate this pain, even without going to a doctor or specialist.

1. Exercise – The last thing many people with back pain want to do is exercise, but with moderation it can be a great remedy.  Exercises, like running and yoga, can help stretch out the problem areas and bring some relief.

2. Change Your Sleeping Habits – Sleeping can be a significant cause of back pain, or can cause it to persist. Try sleeping in a more neutral position, ideally on your back, to relieve the pressure or stress on the back. Avoid sleeping on your stomach, that can contribute to neck and back pain.

3. Change Your Diet – Your diet can be key to correcting you back pain and  there are certain things you can do that will help you alleviate the pain. Try eating lean proteins, such as chicken or turkey, and potassium rich foods , such as avocado, bananas, or leafy green vegetables. Most importantly, stay hydrated.

4. Posture – One thing that contributes to a lot of people’s back pain is their posture, especially at the office where you sit often. Refrain from slouching when sitting, and invest in a chair with lower back support.

5. Ice/Heat the Problem Area – A simple solution can be to ice or heart the area. Most doctors recommend icing the area for the first 48 hours, especially if swelling has occurred. Heat might also be beneficial, depending on the injury, and if the person finds it more effective.

These 5 solutions can help you solve you back pain without the need of seeing your doctor or a specialist. For minor issues any of these solutions can be right for you. For severe, or persistent pain; or if these remedies do not work. we recommend seeing a medical professional.
